Cancellations, changes, no-shows, charges and refunds
If you need to cancel your Unity Centre appointment or class booking, or change the time of your appointment, please do so as soon as possible.
The best way to cancel is to or use the Unity Centre app: ensure you're logged in, select the appointment or class (listed in your Schedule) and press 'Cancel'.
If this isn't possible, you can instead email reception@being-in-unity.com or visit us during reception opening hours. We do not guarantee to pick up emails straight away.
We cannot accept cancellations or change requests via any other email address nor via voicemail, social media or messaging.
Spa appointments: minimum notice of cancellation
To avoid being charged for cancelling or changing an appointment, you must give us at least 24 hours' notice, except in the case of a medical or health emergency.
- If you give us at least this much notice of a cancellation, we will refund your Unity account with the amount you paid for the affected appointment. If you cancel with less than the minimum notice or you fail to attend without cancelling, you will continue to be charged in full for the affected appointment and no refund will be available.
- If you wish to change your appointment, you must speak to us in person, in the Centre or by phone (not email, not voicemail), giving us at least the minimum notice. If you give us less than the minimum notice, you will be charged as if you had cancelled your appointment, with no refund available.
Classes: minimum notice of cancellation
To avoid being charged for a cancelled class place, you must give us at least 24 hours' notice, except in the case of a medical or health emergency.
- Non-members and class card holders: if you give us at least this much notice of a cancellation, we will refund your Unity account or class card with the amount you paid for the affected class. If you cancel with less than the minimum notice or you fail to attend without cancelling in good time, you will be continue to be charged in full for the class and no refund will be available.
- Studio members and class pass holders: if you book a place and then cancel it with less than the minimum notice, we will automatically debit your card with a late cancellation charge. If you book a place and do not cancel and do not attend, we will automatically debit your card with a no-show charge. This forms part of your membership agreement.
- Late-cancellation charge: 50% of the class price
- No-show charge: the full price of the class
Workshop cancellations
Cancellations of places at Unity-run workshops will be treated the same as class place cancellations for non-members. Cancellation policies for any third-party workshop will be as stipulated by the workshop organiser.
With regret
We truly regret having to apply this policy but, sadly, when cancellations and changes are late or last minute, we're unable to offer the class palce or appointment to someone else. This is not fair for our teachers and therapists or for other members and users. Late cancellations also cost us a lot of money, which in turns damages our ability to provide vital community wellbeing services.
Refunds
Our refunds policy forms part of the terms and conditions of your appointment or booking and can be found here. This policy also explains what happens on the rare occasions we (Unity) may be obliged to cancel or postpone an appointment or class.
