Teach at Unity

To ensure that there is something for everyone: the public, our teachers and facilitators, we aim to offer a varied, diverse and inclusive programme.

As a CIC (A Community Interest Company) we have made a commitment to support the community of Lewes and for any profits to go towards projects that benefit those in need. We have an agreement with Lewes District Council to ensure that we reach as many people as possible through our services. This includes those who are vulnerable, marginalised and experience a difference in physical mobility and learning ability.

The vision is for The Unity Centre to be a warm and friendly hub, where there is something for everyone. Our class timetable includes yoga, pilates, martial arts, alexander technique, music and art.

If you would like to teach as part of the Unity family there are 3 options available to you subject to a successful application: Teaching for Unity, Hiring a Space for a Regular Class at Unity, Hiring a Space for a Workshop or Event.

You can teach a class on our main timetable and receive payment as a Unity in-house teacher. Your class is included as part of the Unity membership deals and can be attended on a drop in basis. Classes are bookable on our Mindbody software and will be promoted on our website and social media.

You can hire a space from us to offer closed or more specialized classes or courses that differ from what is already on offer. These classes are not offered as part of our membership deals and students pay the teacher directly.

The Studios will have availability to book for private hire to host Workshops, Trainings, Concerts, Functions, Rehearsals, Performances, Exhibitions etc. You may book for half a day, a full day or a whole weekend (Some Fridays are also available on a half day and full day basis).

We are always interested to hear from practitioners who wish to offer a specific project which fits our ethos.

Please email studio@being-in-unity.com and we will get back to you.
