Reiki training courses (levels 1, 2 & 3)
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
Level 1 is a two-day course next running on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th March 2024. Reiki 2 is a one-day course next on Friday 17th May 2024. Reiki level 3 is by appointment.

Reiki level 2
Next one-day course:

Students are encouraged to join Sevanti’s Friday morning yoga class from 9am-10:30am, before the Reiki 2 workshop. This is good preparation for the energy work. Please arrive at the Unity Centre for 10:45 am if not taking part in Unity Yoga.
A one-day course that delivers the essential information and attunements to become a Reiki Practitioner.
- The study of Reiki 1 in further detail, plus;
- The use and benefits of the initial three Reiki Symbols
- Distant Healing
- Becoming a Reiki Practitioner
- Insurance, promotion, client care
- Two Attunements
- Practice
- Meditation, grounding & protective techniques
- Practice self-healing and, on others if possible
- Recap the manuals and any notes you made
- Revise the hand placements for healing so that these are fresh in your mind
There must be at least a year between Reiki 2 and Reiki 3.
A 21 day cleansing period follows the course, where each student practices daily self-healing and writes a reflective journal, taking care of diet and ensuring as much rest as possible. After this period, 21 hours of Reiki practice is documented, after which the Reiki 2 certificate is given. The student is then able to work as a Reiki Practitioner and send distant healing.

Reiki level 3
Reiki Masters is the deepest of all of the levels. Over 2-days the student learns the entire attunement process, enabling them to become a Reiki Master (teacher) if they wish.

The course includes:
- The study of Reiki 1 & 2 in further detail, plus;
- The use and benefit of the final symbol: the Masters Symbol
- The Attunement process
- 4 Attunements
- Practice
- Meditation, grounding & protective techniques
A 21 day cleansing period follows the course, where each student practices daily self-healing and writes a reflective journal, taking care of diet and ensuring as much rest as possible. After this period, the student practices for a further 3 months before returning to their teacher to demonstrate their Attunement and Treatment process.
On successful observation, the student receives their Reiki Masters certificate and may teach all Reiki levels (if they wish).
What is Reiki Attunement?
The attunement process is experienced by sitting eyes closed for approximately 10-15 minutes while the Reiki Master (an eastern term meaning teacher) activates the crown, third eye, heart and palm chakras.
This allows the universal life force energy to permanently flow through the receiver.
When giving Reiki, we too receive the infinite energy as the Reiki Practitioner.
Reiki is safe and no transference of negative energy is possible.
All 3 of the Reiki Levels are designed as a cleansing process on physiological, emotional & mental and spiritual levels respectively.
The student may wish to study each level for their own benefit only, or they may wish to become a Reiki Practitioner and / or Master.
All options are well supported.

Unity provides
- The Unity course is very traditional, as this lineage is very direct, with only 6 teachers between the student and Dr Usui (who discovered this form of healing). It is taught in the way it was intended, in 3 parts.
- Reiki Level 1 & 3 are 2-day courses, while Reiki Level 2 is 1-day course.
- All Reiki courses are facilitated by Sevanti.
- This training is both practical and theoretical.
- The use of crystals is showed as an additional aspect, which works well with Reiki healing.
- Small groups for a close and supported experience.
- Manuals are provided.

The venue
The Reiki sessions will be held at The Unity Centre, Lewes. This peaceful haven has a vegetarian/vegan cafe plus rooms for yoga classes, art therapies and classes, art exhibitions, treatment rooms, float spa and an infra red sauna. The Unity Centre is located in the centre of Lewes, only a 5-10 minute walk from Lewes train station.

N.B. On the Friday of the course, Sevanti leads a Unity Yoga class from 9am – 10.30am and we highly recommend you take part in this, it is a wonderful way to prepare energetically for the course. Reiki students are offered 10% discount for this class, making it £10.80.

Course Tutor
Sevanti has designed the Reiki Syllabus and teaches all 3 levels herself.
During studying for a degree in Dance Theatre at the Laban Centre, London, Sevanti certified as a Reiki Master.
In 1998 Sevanti established her practice of Yoga, Massage & healing, naming it ‘Unity’.
Since then Unity has expanded to become a Training School, where she has lovingly created her own Yoga Teacher Training Diploma (IYN accredited), Unity Partner Yoga™ Teacher Training (IYN accredited), Holistic Massage (MTI accredited) and, Reiki (Embody accredited).
She has developed the Unity Studio, has run over 100 Yoga Retreats worldwide, offers various Massage & Healing Treatments and has many more exciting plans for the future!
