you practice? Our therapist Alasdair Walmsley is running a research project using lightweight headgear that monitors your brain activity via EEG scan. As a
participant, you can chose to do your favourite practice, or learn
a simple breathing technique that boosts your immune
response. There are free slots available for the first 10
participants. Ask at Reception about a 1-to1 session.

Adi brings a grounded, intuitive, heart-centred approach to her practice. She draws on techniques from Eastern and Western Bodywork to inform her massage style. She is a homeopath of 12 years experience and also a Jing Massage Therapist. She co-founded the Hanover Homeopathy Clinic in 2005, and the Brighton Red Tent in 2011.
Adi works with her clients to reclaim vibrant health using a combination of homeopathy, nutrition, herbs, detoxification and bodywork. The bodies innate intelligence and the healing power of Nature continually inspire her practise.
She has supported clients to improve a range of illnesses, but particularly loves to work with people during major life transitions such as pregnancy, birth, menstruation, menopause and death.
She is from South Africa originally and has a deep love of wide open spaces, dancing, women circles and wildness. Adi has built the Groundhouse, an eco home featured on Grand Designs, and is Mum to a 3 year old daughter. She uses homeopathy daily as her family medicine.

LaStone Therapeutic Massage
LaStone Therapy is a deeply therapeutic and rejuvenating massage treatment, where smooth, warm basalt stones are used to heat areas of tension, for example the lower back or shoulders. These stones are also used on the chakras, and they are held in the hands whilst massaging the body with holistic oil and acupressure techniques. The stones carry a healing energy, and can be used with colder marble stones to offer more of a detoxifying session.
This session also includes ritual practice, healing, cleansing, crystals and deep stretches. Deeply effective, stress releasing, tension dissolving and invigorating too… Bliss!

Holistic Ritual Massage
Holistic Massage techniques combined with Deep tissue Indonesian methods and Thai-like stretches and acupressure application. Appropriate essential oils are applied with a scattering of rose petals and the use of Healing and Crystal placement. Sound therapy in the form of Tibetan bowls, quartz crystal bowls and cymbals combined with the burning of sage and the use of aura soma to fully cleanse and soothe the body’s energies. An awakening of the senses and respect for all levels of ones energy system.

Thai Massage
Comfortable pressure is applied along the Sen lines of the body to release trapped, stagnant energy and ease muscular tension. What follows feels to some like a passive yoga session; the receiver is supported through a range of thorough stretches to enhance flexibility and access an incredibly deep sense of relaxation. Suitable for all ranges of flexibility, the body is respected and worked according to its unique capacities.

Thai Foot Massage
Originally dating back 3000 years to China, foot massage is incredibly effective for prevention and relief of diseases throughout the body. The main sensory nerves and energy lines of the body are mainly rooted in the sole of the foot, therefore foot massage can stimulate all the systems including blood and lymph flow, whilst boosting and cleansing all the internal organs. Using the thumbs, hands and a wooden stick, massage is applied to the feet and lower legs. The 4 elements are balanced and a pleasant feeling of harmony and inner stillness are experienced.

Thai Herbal Heat Massage
A Herbal Compress containing 10 types of Thai healing herbs is heated up to a wonderfully warm temperature and applied to the body. The sen lines (energy lines / meridians) are worked throughout the torso and limbs through a rocking and circular action.
The temperature and healing benefits from the herbs (such as prai, ginger, lemongrass, kaffir lime, tamarine leaf etc) penetrate deep into the muscular system to soothe and relax aching muscles.
The herbs also have a cleansing effect on the entire system. Acupressure Massage and Thai stretches are also applied in this unique treatment to completely soothe and revitalise.

Acupressure Chair Massage
Shiatsu-like acupressure is applied to specific points of the body whilst fully supported on a specific massage chair. Applying body weight through the thumbs/palms/elbows allows the massage to be incredibly specific in stimulating vital pressure points across the head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, back, hips and calves. Muscular tension is released and the result is usually to feel revitalised and centered.
This type of massage can also be offered in varying lengths of time: 10/15/20/30 minutes. This allows it to be an ideal service for groups such as corporate work in offices, at functions, at parties and alternative hen nights! Please ask for information pack.
Traditional Reiki
Reiki means ‘Universal Life Energy’. It has the highest and purest frequency of energy to recenter and balance us. It feeds our energy systems so that our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies work with efficiency and harmony. It originated in Tibet over 2500 years ago and was rediscovered by Dr Mikao Usui in the late 1800s.
How does it work? – The Reiki Practitioner becomes a Healing Channel, allowing Reiki to flow through their Crown Chakra to the heart and out through the hands. This energy is then offered to oneself or into a recipient.
How does a treatment feel? – A treatment lasts for approximately 90 minutes. The recipient relaxes on a treatment couch, fully clothed in a warm peaceful environment. The practitioner places their hands onto certain positions, mainly where the main chakras are located on both the front and back of the body.
The recipient will feel a pleasant warmth and sometimes gentle tingling or pulsing. The breath will slow down and usually the receiver drifts off into a light sleep. There is a feeling of deep relaxation, lightness and a strong sense of support, protection and trust. All of the body’s systems will receive this wonderful energy and stronger will-power, clarity, sense of purpose and contentment will be made available. Reiki is not a belief-system, all that is required is an open mind and a will to accept the healing ability within.

Reiki & Crystal Therapy
Precious gemstones are chosen for the receiver’s needs and are placed around the body and on the chakra points. Reiki & Crystal healing are combined, to invite peace/balance/inspiration, or whatever is needed at the time. Crystal & Tibetan singing bowls are also used, with the cleansing intention of sage and aura-soma to further deepen the healing journey.
