Iain Nelson

Holistic Oil Massage, Holistic Ritual Massage

Mondays 3-7.30pm | Tuesdays 9-12pm

My massage journey started in my late teens, but I did not have the confidence to pursue my interest. Instead, I completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Modern Languages and worked for twenty years in medical sales. Over the years, I read about and experienced many forms of massage, body work and exercise, including Swedish, Thai, Chinese Remedial and Deep Tissue Massage, Shiatsu, Shen, Craniosacral Therapy, Tae Kwon do, Alexander Technique, Tai chi and Qi Gong.

In 2012, I went back to university, to start a Bachelor of Science Degree in Diagnostic Radiography, and have worked as a Radiographer in the NHS since 2015. The work is fascinating, but I noticed that I spend my days and nights taking images of what is “wrong” with people. In July 2019, I completed the MTI Diploma in Holistic Massage, through Unity School in Brighton, and started my Level 1 Reiki self practice. I love working intuitively and the feedback I have received is very gratifying, and suggests that I have an aptitude for body and energy work. This has opened the door to a whole range of wonderful styles, techniques and practices.

I find that giving (and receiving) massage is nourishing and fulfilling, and it is a pleasure and an honour to work with each person as a complete individual, connecting with their unique energy and focusing on releasing tension, highlighting and developing what is “right” with each.
